The Information We Collect About You
The information we collect is required in order to provide you our match-making Services. It is not shared with or sold to other organizations for commercial purposes. When you register for the Website, we collect user entered and submitted information that we can use to identify you such as your name, phone number and email address. We never share your surname, phone number, postcode or home address to any match at any stage.
In addition to personal data, our registration form requires you to input information about your personality, likes and dislikes, hobbies, opinions. This information is necessary in order for us to properly assess who to match you with. All fields apart from personal details will be shared throughout the three stage process.
When you use the Site or the Services, some additional information is automatically collected such as your Internet Protocol (IP) IP address, browser type, browser language, visit time, referring website addresses, profile information, aggregated user data, and cookie information. This information and data we collect is used to manage and maintain the Website, track usage, improve the Website, and prevent click fraud. User IP addresses are collected and recorded for monitoring and security purposes. We may use standard online technologies, such as tracking pixels or cookies, to track your use of the Website. We may also include tracking pixels and web beacons in advertisements or promotions. The information we may collect from tracking pixels and web beacons enables us to custom tailor the Website and our Services. It also allows us to measure the general effectiveness of the content on Alif and Ain Websites, our advertising, and other activities.
We reserve the right to share your information, personal or non-personal, with authorized service providers that may perform specific services or processes on our behalf. Such services may include, but are not limited to, web management, customer support, and marketing, business, sales, or promotional contest assistance offered through our Website or Services.

How We Share Your Information Within the Service:
To register and become a part of the Services, you must submit personal information such as name, address and telephone number in addition to responses to opinion, personality and description based questions, information about your gender, a video and preferences for recommendations, such as search distance, age range and gender. If you contact us with a customer service or other inquiry, you provide us with the content of that communication. Additional authorized employees may be permitted to access your personal information, but this is only to provide you the Services.
The information that you provide is partially shared with a match we find you throughout various stages of the matchmaking process.
We never share your home address or telephone number at any stage. Your photos are swapped at stage 2 (which is a mutually agreed step between both you and your match), and your email address and first name is swapped at stage 3 (which is also a mutually agreed step between you and your match).
What is an anonymous profile ?
An anonymous profile includes all of the information you have submitted in your application except your photos, videos, full name. This includes, but is not limited to, your hobbies, favourite books, authors and Islamic scholars and the answers to your priority ranking questions. We will never share your home address, mobile/contact number or surname with users at any stage.
What information is shared at Stage 2?
At Stage 2, you swap your photos and video with your match.
What information is shared at Stage 3?
At Stage 3, you swap your first name and email address with your match.
Additional Situations in Which We May Disclose Your Information
We may also disclose your personal information:
in response to a subpoena, court order, investigative demand, or request for cooperation by law enforcement, legal authorities, or government agencies;
to defend ourselves against legal claims, or exercise our legal rights;
to defend our employees, our company, our safety, or our users;
in connection with the sale of our business, a merger, acquisition, consolidation, proprietary information sale, asset sale or large corporate transaction; or
in the event Alif and Ain files for bankruptcy.
Updating your Information:
If you have an Alif and Ain account, you have the ability to review and update your personal information by contacting us.
You can contact us by sending an email to the email address firstname.lastname@example.org providing us with your account information, and the information you would like to update (including any changes to your photo and video).
You can choose not to provide us with certain information, but that may result in you being unable to use certain features of our Service because such information may be required in order for you to register as user; purchase products or services; participate in a contest, promotion, survey, or sweepstakes; ask a question; or initiate other transactions.
You can also control information collected by cookies. You can delete or decline cookies by changing your browser settings. Click ‘help’ in the toolbar of most browsers for instructions.
